My weirdiest and fateful day?!

Oh I miss posting to my old blog again haha!

Anyway, I always ended up being lazy every time I open my laptop to surf the net and stuffs. Right now I have the urge to share this strange event that just happened earlier.

You see, I never had the chance to post last time that my 1gb micro sd went missing for about 3 weeks. It was the time when I got sickly for 5-6 days. So no moar exposure to pc.

I'm a kind of person who always taking precautions for things that I really cared the most. Especially for things that always helped me through tight spots and being there for efficiency. That is where my 3 year old 1gb micro-SD came in. I got this little baby when I got my Nintendo DS lite last 3 years ago. It was packed with a Flashcart named R4DS along with some wonderful games. After a year, I saw a 2gb micro-SD from CD-R King (a multimedia store) and thought that I could use one for games and the other one for mp3 purposes. So the life of my 2 micro-SD continues until that fateful day.

It was 3 weeks ago that I got sick all of a sudden. Unexplainable causes and confusing symptoms. Then, for about 5-6 days I was cured 1 of my micro-SD went missing! My 1gb microSD! T_T

Oh the horror and pain of finding it in my room. I can't really recall my memory because I can't remember something when I was still in daze. Lucky for my 2gb micro-SD since it was still intact in my DS. It was until then I finally accepted my micro-SD has fated with. So long my friend.... NOT!

----

2 hours earlier, I watch Toy Story 3! To my dismay I thought the said movie will be quite humorous! ha ha ha! but no. It actually hit my spot while watching! I cried again for another Disney movie. Andy slammed me pretty hard as I can imagine myself being him. Just like me, I need to go the next phase of life... So I had teary eyes wiped out, went to the comfort room and looked down... and guess what? I saw this

ow to my disgrace! haha All I thought this thing came back to me just like what Woody and co. came to Andy LOL Talking about very creative and exaggerating imaginations!

And yeah, you can call me crazy now for bringing a camera to the CR just to take this photo! ughh..

So, watching Toy Story 3 wasn't bad afterall! Who knows what could happen to my Micro-SD if I haven't found it. And BTW, what's it doing here? As far as I can remember I lost it in my ROOOOM! Maybe it was trying to escape that's why it ended up soaked instead?! O_O

Anyway, as long as it's still working, I'm fine with it.

So glad ! ^_^

It's about time I can finally wear my black shoes.

It's been a while for an update :D

Tomorrow, July 28, 2010, is my first ever job interview. It is from a company called Virtual Assistant Technology. Being a first timer, of course I'm nervous. But no fear, I know I can do this as I already experienced having an interview during my college's days.

Having a 9k+ starting salary is a must for me. I have my wants list waiting to be bought when my salary comes.

Formal attire is must for a formal interview. All I need to prepare is myself and my "engrish" hehe.

Anyway, good luck for me. :D

What NOT to do: 7 ways to ruin your resume

In the time it takes you to read this paragraph, the average recruiter will have plowed through six resumes. (We know; we timed one.) Want to increase the chances of your resume making it to the next round? Then don’t do any of these seven things, which recruiters say — more than anything — make them want to push the “shred” button.

1. Apply for a job for which you are not remotely qualified Many candidates believe the job hunt is a numbers game — drop enough resumes, and you’re bound to land something. But shotguns are for hunting pheasant, not finding jobs. The reality is that recruiters hate wasting time on resumes from unqualified candidates. Morgan Miller, an executive recruiter at StaffMark, recalls the security guard who applied to be a financial risk manager (maybe Lehman should have hired him), while Scott Ragusa at Winter, Wyman talks of the aerial photographer who sought out a position as a tax specialist.
“Sorting through unqualified resumes is frustrating, unproductive and puts an extra burden on staff,” says Katherine Swift, Senior Account Director at KCSA Strategic Communications in Natick, Mass. “It also makes it much more challenging to find the right candidate.” So the next time you’re thinking of blasting out resumes to all 60 of the job listings on Monster.com that have the word “finance” in them , save your time (and that of the recruiters) and only apply for ones for which you’re qualified.

2. Include a lofty mission statement More than ever, today’s savage job market is about the company, not the candidate. As such, mission or objective statements — particularly ones with an applicant’s hopes, dreams, and health insurance aspirations — will dispatch otherwise fine resumes to the circular file. Employers don’t care about how they can solve your problems — certainly not before they’ve met you and possibly not even after they’ve hired you. Instead, write an “objectives” statement that explains specifically how your skills and experience will help the company you’re applying to, not the other way around. And be very clear about what kind of job you’re seeking.

3. Use one generic resume for every job listing To stand out amongst the sea of resumes that recruiters receive, yours must speak to each and every specific position, even recycling some of the language from the job description itself. Make it obvious that you will start solving problems even before you’ve recorded your outgoing voicemail message. Your CV or query letter should include a just touch of industry lingo — sufficient to prove you know your stuff but not so much that you sound like a robot. And it should speak to individual company issues and industry challenges, with specifics on how you have personally improved customer loyalty, efficiency, and profitability at past jobs, says workplace and performance consultant Jay Forte. Plus, each morsel should be on point.
“Think hard about how to best leverage each piece of information to your job search advantage,” says Wendy Enelow, a career consultant and trainer in Virginia. “Nothing in your resume should be arbitrary, from what you include in your job descriptions and achievement statements, to whether your education or experience comes first [recent grads may want to put education first] to how you format your contact information.”

4. Make recruiters or hiring managers guess how exactly you can help their client Sourcing experts want to know — immediately — what someone can offer, and they won’t spend time noodling someone’s credentials. “Animal, vegetable or mineral? Doctor, lawyer or Indian chief? That’s what I’m wondering every time I open a resume. If it takes me more than a split second to figure this out, I feel frustrated,” says Mary O’Gorman, a veteran recruiter based in Brooklyn.

5. Don’t explain how past experience translates to a new position Though candidates should avoid jobs where they have no experience, they absolutely should pursue new areas and positions if they can position their experience effectively. A high school English teacher applying for new jobs, for example, can cite expertise in human resource management, people skills, record keeping, writing, and training, says Anthony Pensabene, a professional writer who works with executives.
“Titles are just semantics; candidates need to relate their ‘actual’ skills and experiences to the job they’re applying for in their resume,” Pensabene says. An applicant who cannot be bothered to identify the parallels between the two likely won’t be bothered with interviews, either.

6. Don’t include a cover letter with your resume A cover letter should always accompany a resume — even if it’s going to your best friend. And that doesn’t mean a lazy “I’m _____ and I’m looking for a job in New York; please see my attached resume.” Says Lindsay Olson, a partner at Manhattan’s Paradigm Staffing: “I’d like to know why you are contacting me (a particular position, referral, etc.), a short background about yourself, and a career highlight or two. It’s important to attempt to set yourself apart from the competition.”

7. Be careless with details Reckless job hunters rarely make for conscientious workers. As such, even promising resumes must abide by age-old dictums: typo-free, proper organization, and no embellishment. Susan Whitcomb, author of Resume Magic: Trade Secrets of a Professional Resume Writer, says that almost 80 percent of HR managers she surveyed said they would dismiss otherwise qualified candidates who break these rules. She tells the story of one would-be employer who, when looking for an assistant, decided not to hire anyone because every resume she received contained typos.
“With a 6-to-1 ratio of jobseekers-to-jobs in the current marketplace, you can’t afford to make mistakes with your resume,” Whitcomb says.

PaPlug lang! haha

Earlier while I am cleaning my cache and bookmarked links, I stumbled upon this two links and made me reminisce for a while.

So for a little randomness you can check some of the websites I created during my college years:

2nd year contest
4th year last semester

The first link I gave was originally created by me from scratch (although I downloaded some templates from the other websites). And I made it all by myself with no one teaching me. Noob at everything from flash, dreamweaver etc. So I really can't believe that I did this.

The second link was from a competition from school. With the help of Kuya Rawn, I managed to beautify my website and made me a champion :)) But of course the coding /nosebleed. I can't really recall what I have done this time :))

How to Secure Your Facebook Account

Here's how to navigate the new settings and keep your profile secure:

1) Review Settings
Simpler controls may help most users, but an opt-out system will do little for users who don't look at those controls, says Paul Stephens, the director of policy and advocacy for the Privacy Rights Clearinghouse, a nonprofit consumer advocacy group. Unless users say otherwise, everything is shared. Use the "preview my profile tool" on Facebook's privacy settings pages to see what others can spot. Also consider downloading the free tool at ReclaimPrivacy.org, which flags unsecure settings and offers tips to revise them.

2) Eliminate 'Everyone'
Users would do well to stop thinking of social networks as somehow cut off from the broader Internet. "People understand that when they tweet [using Twitter.com], that it's a broadcast to the world," Aftab says. Anything in Facebook settings that's available to "everyone" is available publicly in the same fashion, potentially showing up to anyone who clicks on your profile, visits sites such as OpenBook or conducts a search on Google (GOOG, News. "Don't post it unless you want your parents, the police, predators and your principal [or boss] to see it," she says.
3) Opt for Security
Facebook's new policy still allows users to specify restrictions post by post. Opt for a more secure setting and tighten or loosen it further if the situation calls for it, Aftab suggests. For example, users can set photo sharing to "friends only" but then specify that their boss can't view the newly uploaded pictures from a recent party. On the other hand, they can broaden a job-hunt status update to include "friends of friends," instead of just people in their immediate circle.

4) Share With Caution
Even information shared with "friends only" could pose a security threat if a friend's account is hacked or a bug occurs, Stephens says. Seemly innocuous data, such as a birthday, a mother's maiden name or a favorite pet's name is enough for hackers and identity thieves to do serious damage. "You're providing a source of data that might be used by a hacker to access password-restricted sites," he says.
There's also the embarrassment factor. In February, a temporary bug resulted in a handful of Facebook users receiving hundreds of private messages meant for others. In early May, another glitch allowed users to view friends' private chats with other people.

How to make money online

First, gusto ko malaman niyo ang tinatawag na "PTC" or Pay to Click.

Finally, kung di pa clear sayo just leave a comment lang dito sa blog ko and I'll try to answer it kung di ako busy. YM: rayster025

Add me up!

Register lang kayo dito guys:

Here's my overall transaction with Neobux since 2009. (Not all the time I'm active btw)

Laptop Order: Pros and Cons

Hello guys! But the question is, alin ba mas maganda: Mag-order ba via sa website or pumunta sa local stores?

Ordering Online (Dell)

PROS

The selected laptop is fully customizable! Even its color.
Inexpensive.
Warranty period can be extended to 3 years but requires an additional payment.
More promos and freebies available.
Limited discounts on selected laptops.

CONS

It will take 2-4 days of shipping.
Availability of Dell Center especially for warranty purposes.
My mother is not convinced with Online Shopping. She still taught its not appropriate or it's a scam. ( which is.. you know)

Local Stores

PROS

I can get the laptop the day I bought it.

CONS

The selected laptop is not customizable.
Fixed price, no discount.
Warranty is only 1 year.
Expensive (considering the shop's commission etc)
Limited promos and freebies available.

Ayan!

*cross finger*

Finally!

I think it was 8:30am at mga 9:00am ako nakadating doon (hinanap ko pa ksi)

Buti nalang matanda yung nag-asikaso sakin kaya di niya nanotice nung tiningnan niya I.D. ko at ung Claim Stab.

At heto na now!
