Rayster meets the Kid Blogger Carl Ocab!

With the tropical storm 'Ferdie' currently residing in the Philippines, it doesn't stop me to attend John Calub's Web and Social Media Marketing! I may have colds, it still doesn't stop me from going to the event. Afterall I have the prize ticket from the 'Top Inspirer' contest of Sir John Calub just for this event.

The seminar is all about how to start making money online. The speakers were John Calub and other extraordinary people like Jay McLean, Tim Bennett, and Carl Ocab, my idol! I was so inspired by this kid because he started blogging at the age of 13! Now looking back in my own timeline, I also started blogging around that age, but I was not able to grasp to what I should do after I have shared my piece in the internet.

Rayster meets KidBlogger
I was waiting for Carl 's part in the seminar and here's some of his advice that I fail to realize and taught me a lesson.

1.) Find a topic to write and discuss

Usually, my idea of blogging way back when I started is to share my life's story. I think of it as my online journal. But hey, it's not bad to share a little experience once in a while. I know all of us has a 'story' to tell to the world, but whats more important to the universe is something informative. That's why creating a content from the topic you've chosen is the start.

2.) Start to monetize your blog

This is also one of the things I always ignore. Whenever I blog something my mind is always asking questions, 'what if  you'll make money out of that?' I also encountered 'Google Adsense' a lot and  I always ignore it a lot too! I even managed to read about it during my college days last 2010, but never ever that serious to take the step.

3.) Take action

"You see, in life, lots of people know what to do, but few people actually do what they know. Knowing is not enough! You must take action." - Anthony Robbin

(Aaaaaaa! Anthony Robbin's is one of the greatest motivational speakers of all time! It's almost like theres no word that can fully described this guy, he is the man.)

Taking action is one of the things I lack. I may have the talent and skills, but I never got the 'guts' to take a massive action. I basically know how to operate a computer from hardware stuffs to software programming and all, but knowing this stuffs with no actions is nothing. Its like a shell with no snail inside. Though, I learned this the hard way and it's not to late to start again.

So I guess that's about it. It has been days from my last update. I have to be serious on this stuffs like my life depends on it. Thanks for reading! :)

Coincidence

Are you a kind of a person who believes in destiny, fate? What about miracles? accidents? Do you let people around you control you?

Well to be honest, last 2 years ago I was somewhat that kind of person. I let my destiny predict my future and so on. Until one day, I encountered the man named 'John Calub'. In summary, he changed my life to the whole level. That's when I start to know other big giants Anthony Robbins, Robert Kiyosaki, Jack Canfield etc. These people influence so many young and old achievers all around the world! They are wealthy in all aspects of there life. So if you want to model someone, model someone who is very successful in their lives.

One major thing I learned throughout my journey was, we create our own world. If your an Anime Fanatic, you should know Haruhi Suzumiya. In a nutshell, she is like God. She has the power to bend reality subconsciously, but she's not aware of it. In fact she doesn't even believe that all the people around her were created by her powers! So think about it, what if its possible to bend reality? Aren't you excited that we can almost get what we want?! Of course we always ask something from God, but most people tend to forget that they only asked for it. They did not believe on it as well receiving in the end. That's why most people nowadays stop dreaming. They see their dream as 'impossible', that's why it will not happened just like a dream, literally.

Do you know what is the Law of Attraction? One of the most powerful law in the universe that was not taught to school. Google is your friend. :)

That's it for now. A little things to ponder on the night sky of Sunday. :)

Thanks for reading!

Very first computer

As for my first blog, I was thinking of a topic that would be something nostalgic and at the same time most of  the people nowadays would relate since we're on the Information Age! It came across for me to blog something about the time you get your very first computer! Computers was invented many years ago. It was considered as a machine that do a work than being considered a gadget nowadays. Not to mention early computers was a bit of pricey back then. When the year 2000 strikes, the computer is evolving like crazy up to now.

So now, let me share to you my little story for obtaining my very first computer or pc some other calls it.

It was dated around year 2004 to 2005 that my mother finally bought me a computer! I was in second high school back then.

For starters, it was not brand new at all and she got it from our neighbor. I'm not complaining or anything, in fact I was so excited that I took me hours to inspect the said computer from our neighbor's house!

Much to my investigation, I confirmed that the OS was Windows '98 and it's quite 'ok' for a first time pc. It was able to run some decent programs that I planned to use. That night, my mother got my approval to take the pc because it was bundled with a free printer and one of the best computer stand way back.

The next day, the transaction was okay and the computer set was transferred to our house specifically in my room (of course! XD). Around 5:30pm I rushed to go home like crazy! I remember I said something to the driver of the jeepney "PARA LANG PO!". Then, all the passenger were looking at me like O_O (what the hell this kid is shouting or something). I don't mind anyone of them, one thing I'm focus about my computer is in my room! Then I got out of the jeepney, dashed to our doorway and directly to my room (not recognizing anyone in my path including my mother). About 10 minutes in front of MY computer, my mother scolded me to at least eat a dinner and take a shower before doing anything. After that, my frequent eyes is on my new computer. Browsing everything what it can offer even without an internet! Yeap that's right! Dial-up connection was the preferred connection back then, good thing we have a telephone =)

Acquiring something for the first time always leave a scars to your memory, this is how 'my computer' has started, where I belong!

Good thing I was able to see the old photo. Except for the keyboard, the CRT Monitor and the computer table is still the same.

Btw thanks for my Youtube account because I was able to see the date I registered around 2005! Talking about the time Youtube started and look how far they made.

How about you, when did you get your very first computer? whats the story behind it? :) Comments below.
