My weirdiest and fateful day?!

Oh I miss posting to my old blog again haha!

Anyway, I always ended up being lazy every time I open my laptop to surf the net and stuffs. Right now I have the urge to share this strange event that just happened earlier.

You see, I never had the chance to post last time that my 1gb micro sd went missing for about 3 weeks. It was the time when I got sickly for 5-6 days. So no moar exposure to pc.

I'm a kind of person who always taking precautions for things that I really cared the most. Especially for things that always helped me through tight spots and being there for efficiency. That is where my 3 year old 1gb micro-SD came in. I got this little baby when I got my Nintendo DS lite last 3 years ago. It was packed with a Flashcart named R4DS along with some wonderful games. After a year, I saw a 2gb micro-SD from CD-R King (a multimedia store) and thought that I could use one for games and the other one for mp3 purposes. So the life of my 2 micro-SD continues until that fateful day.

It was 3 weeks ago that I got sick all of a sudden. Unexplainable causes and confusing symptoms. Then, for about 5-6 days I was cured 1 of my micro-SD went missing! My 1gb microSD! T_T

Oh the horror and pain of finding it in my room. I can't really recall my memory because I can't remember something when I was still in daze. Lucky for my 2gb micro-SD since it was still intact in my DS. It was until then I finally accepted my micro-SD has fated with. So long my friend.... NOT!

----

2 hours earlier, I watch Toy Story 3! To my dismay I thought the said movie will be quite humorous! ha ha ha! but no. It actually hit my spot while watching! I cried again for another Disney movie. Andy slammed me pretty hard as I can imagine myself being him. Just like me, I need to go the next phase of life... So I had teary eyes wiped out, went to the comfort room and looked down... and guess what? I saw this

ow to my disgrace! haha All I thought this thing came back to me just like what Woody and co. came to Andy LOL Talking about very creative and exaggerating imaginations!

And yeah, you can call me crazy now for bringing a camera to the CR just to take this photo! ughh..

So, watching Toy Story 3 wasn't bad afterall! Who knows what could happen to my Micro-SD if I haven't found it. And BTW, what's it doing here? As far as I can remember I lost it in my ROOOOM! Maybe it was trying to escape that's why it ended up soaked instead?! O_O

Anyway, as long as it's still working, I'm fine with it.

So glad ! ^_^

A piece of me?!

During my elementary days, I used to have many friends and having my own group of people with the same interest. I'm not saying that I don't have friends anymore. I just realize that we're just kids at that time having a zero idea of what friends really mean. Having many people participating in the games we used to play, we maximize the enjoyment. This message strikes me when my sister asks me earlier. She said something like this, "Hey bro, do you have any best-friend that stays with you up to now?" For a while, I dazed upon looking at her. As I was sitting to our dinner table I answered her swiftly "Uhmm, nope. I don't believe to such things." I don't really trust people that much aside from myself" Sure that was like a cold person should say, but I can't deny that I am one sometimes. You see, the group that I created during my elementary days did last. I was able to build it during the Pokemon Era when I was a 4th Grader. If you have realized it by now, it was during that time that the name "Rayster" was created. "Ray" came partly from my first name and "Ster" guess what? I'll let you give me an answer to by commenting to this post.

As far as I can remember, I have a Pokemon group consisting of 5 people including myself. I mainly act as the chairman having a superior knowledge to Pokemon, not only limited to those creatures, but also to technology and gadgets. During that time I only owned a Gameboy as my main gadget. Only few of my classmates has one so it’s an advantage of you know what I mean ;) Having one also attracts some potential friend with a common interest as I do. Also, my skills are not only limited to virtual games, but to physical games too. I’m pretty much of a kid who would do anything just for the sake of fun and enjoyment. That’s why I really love my elementary days.

To be continued… (lol nagging habit nab a toh?

My exceptional awe

It was August 27, 2010, the day before the official burial of Tito Benjie ( my cousin's father)

Since I am mainly the techy person in our family, I lend them a hand regarding a projector. They want me to operate the slide-show during the mass ceremony. And since I have an experience with this stuffs during my college years I thought it would be that easy.

Now, the main story begins when Manang Baby ( the only daughter of Tito Benjie and much older than me) contacted me around 1pm to be prepared, so I follow. I waited until it's 2pm, still no sign of her. What I was thinking is that I will follow her around and get the projector to be tested with my laptop. Ow yeah, I'm also bringing my laptop for the testing purposes. Around 2:15pm a major blackout occurred. The blackout halted my computer work while waiting for Manang. So I just sit idled at our living room waiting for her. Around 2:30 at last! She finally arrived looking so rush and flush. Afterwards, we hurriedly went to their house. Eventually we rode a jeepney going to the major's office for the projector that's been waiting for us.

Considering that the blackout has spread all over Iloilo, we haven't tested the projector. So instead, the main IT Specialist instructed me of what to do. After the short talk, we decided to went directly to the church so that I can test the projector finally! That is what I thought...

Annoyance #1: We will be re-routing our destination. Instead heading to the church, we went to the nearest mall, which is the Robinson's Place! It's all fine with me going to the mall, but what's not is that I have to carry this bulky projector all by myself! Sure I got the hang of it after a short distance of walk, but my body especially my arms are getting numb from all the pressure that I keep forcing myself to carry this monstrous heavyweight projector.

Imagine carrying this thing + it's box full of heavy cords walking at the mall @_@

What's worse is that Manang Baby won't listen to me! She's just smiling and walking with no worries! Her plan: Deposit the said projector to the nearest baggage counter. I kept telling her that the nearest one is near the Supermarket but she just throw the idea. Instead ,we went to the 2nd floor to the Department Store. We took to escalator. While escalating, she look at me smiling without noticing all of the people looking at me. I feel so ashamed of this happenings =_=. Then at the second floor, she approached the security guard that she was very confident that the guard will take my place. But to MY dismay, the security guard said that the only baggage counter located around the mall is near the SUPERMARKET!

Oh the horror after hearing that statement. I withdraw carrying the projector and took a little rest walking and gasping for air. Oh God, am I paying my sin for being not able to attend the mass on Sundays? -_-
It's like I've been with Haruhi all this time.

After their conversation was put to an end, Manang told me to lift the projector again and we need to dashed to the 1st floor. After lifting it, I cannot feel my hand anymore! It's all like being a handless man :< Well sorry for the exaggeration, but this time I cannot stand her way. I explained her being this poor guy and all. Then she felt sorry for me and helped me to carry the bulky thing up to the baggage counter. That's what I thought.

Annoyance #2: Since its been hard for us to carry the projector all around the mall, we decided to take the elevator since it's hard to for us to carry the projector down the escalator. But the thing is, the elevator was ignoring us! It's always skipping the 2nd floor and went to the 3rd floor/1st floor. About 5-6 repetition of this stupid act it finally opened! But the operator said that they were full on loaded and it closes again! Argh the nerve! We've been waiting for 30 minutes until the elevator finally gave us a ride down X<

Finally! We arrived at the baggage counter.

Annoyance #3: I though I can finally got a hang of it, but NO! The line to the baggage counter is very long. We can't endure holding the machine any longer. So (as usual) Manang decided something on its own. She said that I will wait near the money exchanger (the place that we're standing) because she needs to verify something about the slide-show. Then she went to the 3rd floor at the Netopia. Feeling tired, I dropped the projector and carry my laptop (with it's bag of course). Countlessly looking at the people going anywhere it's like I have already memorize all of the faces of the salesman, clerks, ladies etc. I even saw my elementary-high school classmate Johnmer who shouted my name and walk hastily. I've been standing for about 1 hour. Ughh. Am I going to die? Afterwards, I can't bare the agony I've been through. So I sit to the floor. I know most of the people passing by are looking at me, but I don't care. In the first place, carrying the bulky projector around the mall is the most craziest thing I've done in my whole life!

As Manang return, she treat me to Jollibee!

to be continued....

      Tuesday, July 27, 2010

It's about time I can finally wear my black shoes.

It's been a while for an update :D

Tomorrow, July 28, 2010, is my first ever job interview. It is from a company called Virtual Assistant Technology. Being a first timer, of course I'm nervous. But no fear, I know I can do this as I already experienced having an interview during my college's days.

Having a 9k+ starting salary is a must for me. I have my wants list waiting to be bought when my salary comes.

Formal attire is must for a formal interview. All I need to prepare is myself and my "engrish" hehe.

Anyway, good luck for me. :D

It's so Hard to be Healthy....

By courtesyBy courtesyIn this age of instancy nowadays, living a healthy life is no longer an easy thing to do. You wish to be healthy, but those fast food outlets keep waving those tempting tastes. Not to mention having snacks that contain MSG. Plus smoking, staying up overnights or even sleeping all the time, alcohol, pollution, drugs, and many more health destruction materials that surround us. How can we be healthy?
But, you really want to be healthy, don't you? Then the following things below might be useful for you to know. Enjoy reading!
5 kinds of food that can cause cancer:
      By
courtesyBy courtesy
      1. Hot dogs. Because this food contains nitrates, the Cancer Prevention Coalition recommends that children not to consume more than 12 hot dogs a month. If you can't live without hot dogs, it is suggested to buy products that do not contain sodium nitrates.
      2. Processed meat. This one also has the same contents with the hot dogs. Processed meats increase the risk of heart diseases and cause cancer.
      3. Donuts. This kind of light meals also can cause cancer. Because, it is made from flour, sugar, and hydrogenated oils, then fried at such high temperatures.
      By
courtesyBy courtesy
      4. French Fries. As well as donuts, french fries is made using hydrogenated oils, and fried at such high temperatures. French fries also contains cancer-causing acryl amides which are formed during the frying process.
      5. Chips, crackers, and cookies. Because of these snacks are usually made using flours and sugar. Although the labels listed oil-free, but still, these foods contain saturated oil.

Habits that can damage the brain:
      1. Not having breakfast. People who usually don't have breakfast are going to have low blood sugar levels, which will cause a reduced supply of nutrients to the brain, causing brain degeneration.
      By
courtesyBy courtesy
      2. Eat too much. This behavior will cause the brain arteries to become hardened, which will reduce the mental strength.
      3. Smoking. This unhealthy habit will lead to double-narrowing of the brain, and will cause Alzheimer's symptom (senile).
      4. Too much sugar consumption. Excessive intakes of sugar will interrupt the absorption of protein and nutrients that can cause lack of nutrients which interferes with the brain development.
      5. Air pollution. The brain is the biggest user of oxygen in the body. Inhaling air pollution will reduce the supply of oxygen to the brain, and will reduce the brain's working efficiency.
      6. Too much sleep. Proper sleep will rest the brain. Too much sleep will accelerate the death of brain cells.
      By
courtesyBy courtesy
      7. Covering head while sleeping. Sleeping with the head covered will increase the concentration of carbon dioxide and reduce the concentration of oxygen that can cause brain damage.
      8. Making the brain works in times of illness. Working too hard or studying in times of illness can lead to reduce effectiveness of the brain and can cause brain damage.
      9. Lack of mind stimulations. Thinking is the best way for the brain. The lack of stimulations in the brain can cause constrictions in the brain.
      10. Rarely speak. Intellectual conversations can increase the brain working efficiency.
The main causes of liver damage:
      By
courtesyBy courtesy
      1. Sleeping too late and waking up too late are the main causes.
      2. Not urinating in the morning.
      3. Too much eating.
      4. Not having breakfast.
      5. Consuming too much medications.
      6. Consuming too much preservatives, additives, food colorings, and artificial sweeteners.
      7. Using unhealthy cooking oil. Try to decrease the oil use when frying, although using the best cooking oil such as olive oil. Do not eat fried food when the body is tired, except when the body is fit enough.
      By
courtesyBy courtesy8. Eating overcooked food can also cause liver damage. Vegetables are better be eaten raw or ¾ cooked. Stir-fry vegetables should be spent on one meal, do not be stored.
We can prevent the disease without having to spend more. We just need to adopt the ways of living and healthy eating habits daily.
Keeping good eating habits and adjust the schedule is very important for our bodies to absorb and get rid of unnecessary chemicals according to the body 'schedule'.
Pay very good attention to your health, and spread this information to the people you care about.

What NOT to do: 7 ways to ruin your resume

In the time it takes you to read this paragraph, the average recruiter will have plowed through six resumes. (We know; we timed one.) Want to increase the chances of your resume making it to the next round? Then don’t do any of these seven things, which recruiters say — more than anything — make them want to push the “shred” button.

      1. Apply for a job for which you are not remotely qualified Many candidates believe the job hunt is a numbers game — drop enough resumes, and you’re bound to land something. But shotguns are for hunting pheasant, not finding jobs. The reality is that recruiters hate wasting time on resumes from unqualified candidates. Morgan Miller, an executive recruiter at StaffMark, recalls the security guard who applied to be a financial risk manager (maybe Lehman should have hired him), while Scott Ragusa at Winter, Wyman talks of the aerial photographer who sought out a position as a tax specialist.
“Sorting through unqualified resumes is frustrating, unproductive and puts an extra burden on staff,” says Katherine Swift, Senior Account Director at KCSA Strategic Communications in Natick, Mass. “It also makes it much more challenging to find the right candidate.” So the next time you’re thinking of blasting out resumes to all 60 of the job listings on Monster.com that have the word “finance” in them , save your time (and that of the recruiters) and only apply for ones for which you’re qualified.

      2. Include a lofty mission statement More than ever, today’s savage job market is about the company, not the candidate. As such, mission or objective statements — particularly ones with an applicant’s hopes, dreams, and health insurance aspirations — will dispatch otherwise fine resumes to the circular file. Employers don’t care about how they can solve your problems — certainly not before they’ve met you and possibly not even after they’ve hired you. Instead, write an “objectives” statement that explains specifically how your skills and experience will help the company you’re applying to, not the other way around. And be very clear about what kind of job you’re seeking.

      3. Use one generic resume for every job listing To stand out amongst the sea of resumes that recruiters receive, yours must speak to each and every specific position, even recycling some of the language from the job description itself. Make it obvious that you will start solving problems even before you’ve recorded your outgoing voicemail message. Your CV or query letter should include a just touch of industry lingo — sufficient to prove you know your stuff but not so much that you sound like a robot. And it should speak to individual company issues and industry challenges, with specifics on how you have personally improved customer loyalty, efficiency, and profitability at past jobs, says workplace and performance consultant Jay Forte. Plus, each morsel should be on point.
“Think hard about how to best leverage each piece of information to your job search advantage,” says Wendy Enelow, a career consultant and trainer in Virginia. “Nothing in your resume should be arbitrary, from what you include in your job descriptions and achievement statements, to whether your education or experience comes first [recent grads may want to put education first] to how you format your contact information.”

      4. Make recruiters or hiring managers guess how exactly you can help their client Sourcing experts want to know — immediately — what someone can offer, and they won’t spend time noodling someone’s credentials. “Animal, vegetable or mineral? Doctor, lawyer or Indian chief? That’s what I’m wondering every time I open a resume. If it takes me more than a split second to figure this out, I feel frustrated,” says Mary O’Gorman, a veteran recruiter based in Brooklyn.

      5. Don’t explain how past experience translates to a new position Though candidates should avoid jobs where they have no experience, they absolutely should pursue new areas and positions if they can position their experience effectively. A high school English teacher applying for new jobs, for example, can cite expertise in human resource management, people skills, record keeping, writing, and training, says Anthony Pensabene, a professional writer who works with executives.
“Titles are just semantics; candidates need to relate their ‘actual’ skills and experiences to the job they’re applying for in their resume,” Pensabene says. An applicant who cannot be bothered to identify the parallels between the two likely won’t be bothered with interviews, either.

      6. Don’t include a cover letter with your resume A cover letter should always accompany a resume — even if it’s going to your best friend. And that doesn’t mean a lazy “I’m _____ and I’m looking for a job in New York; please see my attached resume.” Says Lindsay Olson, a partner at Manhattan’s Paradigm Staffing: “I’d like to know why you are contacting me (a particular position, referral, etc.), a short background about yourself, and a career highlight or two. It’s important to attempt to set yourself apart from the competition.”

      7. Be careless with details Reckless job hunters rarely make for conscientious workers. As such, even promising resumes must abide by age-old dictums: typo-free, proper organization, and no embellishment. Susan Whitcomb, author of Resume Magic: Trade Secrets of a Professional Resume Writer, says that almost 80 percent of HR managers she surveyed said they would dismiss otherwise qualified candidates who break these rules. She tells the story of one would-be employer who, when looking for an assistant, decided not to hire anyone because every resume she received contained typos.
“With a 6-to-1 ratio of jobseekers-to-jobs in the current marketplace, you can’t afford to make mistakes with your resume,” Whitcomb says.

      PaPlug lang! haha

Earlier while I am cleaning my cache and bookmarked links, I stumbled upon this two links and made me reminisce for a while.

So for a little randomness you can check some of the websites I created during my college years:

      2nd year contest
      4th year last semester

The first link I gave was originally created by me from scratch (although I downloaded some templates from the other websites). And I made it all by myself with no one teaching me. Noob at everything from flash, dreamweaver etc. So I really can't believe that I did this.

The second link was from a competition from school. With the help of Kuya Rawn, I managed to beautify my website and made me a champion :)) But of course the coding /nosebleed. I can't really recall what I have done this time :))

The most humorous things I've done just because of my foolishness

Just remembered something a while ago. Thanks to my mother.

While I'm doing the dishes earlier, she mentioned something about a "tawas" or allum. Then, something triggered my mind to recall something very funny that I laugh out loud for about 10 minutes of reminiscing. So let me share you this:

It was waaaaay back then around the time I am still studying, probably year 2007. During my free time, I handle our little "sari-sari store" or "tiangge" for some people call it. As far as I can recall, a lady named January bought a "powdered tawas" from our store. As you know, tawas is one of the inexpensive remedy for body odor. So for my personal use, I took 2 small pouches of tawas for home use. ( also to save a deodorant too)

The next day after taking a bath, I went to my room and used the "powdered tawas". Much to my dismay, after putting it into my underarms for about 10 minutes it feels like burning hell! I can't really express what I feel that time because my mother used to ridicule at me. She witnessed that I was rushing to the comfort room for water. You're asking why? To extinguish the blazing fire of course! *sigh*.

After that, she scolded me for using the "citric acid powder" instead of the "powdered tawas". I feel so stupid after hearing that from her. I responded that she can't blame me, after all the pouches looks so identical and can easily be confused for not to mention it has no labels.

My tears of crying (because it hurts) and laughing mixed into an unexplained expression.

I just then remember, what happened to January?

Evening came, my mother just arrived from her work and manage to put some labels to some of our products at the store. She also bought some groceries including the new powdered tawas (it has a label this time). After 30 minutes, the January lady bought something from my mother. Then, she asked something about the "powdered tawas" she bought earlier. Asking if it was really the same tawas she always used everyday. I can't vividly remember what was my mother's response because I laugh my stomach out imagining what happened XD

Sooo naughty mind haha. Now with this stupidity of mine, I won't fail to recall this mess whenever I'm sad.

      FIN~ :D

How to Secure Your Facebook Account

Here's how to navigate the new settings and keep your profile secure:

      1) Review Settings
Simpler controls may help most users, but an opt-out system will do little for users who don't look at those controls, says Paul Stephens, the director of policy and advocacy for the Privacy Rights Clearinghouse, a nonprofit consumer advocacy group. Unless users say otherwise, everything is shared. Use the "preview my profile tool" on Facebook's privacy settings pages to see what others can spot. Also consider downloading the free tool at ReclaimPrivacy.org, which flags unsecure settings and offers tips to revise them.

      2) Eliminate 'Everyone'
Users would do well to stop thinking of social networks as somehow cut off from the broader Internet. "People understand that when they tweet [using Twitter.com], that it's a broadcast to the world," Aftab says. Anything in Facebook settings that's available to "everyone" is available publicly in the same fashion, potentially showing up to anyone who clicks on your profile, visits sites such as OpenBook or conducts a search on Google (GOOG, News. "Don't post it unless you want your parents, the police, predators and your principal [or boss] to see it," she says.
      3) Opt for Security
Facebook's new policy still allows users to specify restrictions post by post. Opt for a more secure setting and tighten or loosen it further if the situation calls for it, Aftab suggests. For example, users can set photo sharing to "friends only" but then specify that their boss can't view the newly uploaded pictures from a recent party. On the other hand, they can broaden a job-hunt status update to include "friends of friends," instead of just people in their immediate circle.

      4) Share With Caution
Even information shared with "friends only" could pose a security threat if a friend's account is hacked or a bug occurs, Stephens says. Seemly innocuous data, such as a birthday, a mother's maiden name or a favorite pet's name is enough for hackers and identity thieves to do serious damage. "You're providing a source of data that might be used by a hacker to access password-restricted sites," he says.
There's also the embarrassment factor. In February, a temporary bug resulted in a handful of Facebook users receiving hundreds of private messages meant for others. In early May, another glitch allowed users to view friends' private chats with other people.

      How to never oversleep again

(got this from site, here's the link)

And it seems like I can totally relate to this topic and can be an update to my blog at the same time :D

       ---

Is oversleeping a habit you can’t break?

Have you ever considered the consequences of oversleeping?

Well, sure, oversleeping can make you late for work or for a class. It can get you fired.

But here’s the worst consequence of oversleeping: you’re missing out on life.

Alright, maybe that statement needs some clarification. So let’s see what I mean. Take a look at your past sleeping habits. Right, now pick a time where you were full of energy and ambition. How did you wake up each morning? Did you slowly roll out of bed, turn off the alarm clock, go to the bathroom, only to convince yourself in your cognitive fog that you should probably go back and lie down? And what happens then — oops, you’re back asleep.

When your life is full of energy and ambition, this rarely happens. What does happen? You wake up with a jolt, excited to tackle the day. You think “there’s so much to do, and so little time,” but this motivates you to start working early. Sometimes you wake a few minutes before the alarm goes off.
The problem with oversleeping is that it affects the rest of your day. If you lazily crawl out of bed after a 10-hour sleep, what’s the rest of your day like? Full of energy? No. The rest of your day is spent in a cognitive fog. Why is it that getting a 10-hour night of sleep makes us feel worse than an 7-hour night of sleep?

Sleep—the more the better, right? Well, it doesn’t seem that way.
Fortunately, oversleeping is curable. But let’s first look at why we oversleep.
Oversleeping is caused by a failure in the body’s wake-up mechanism. Unfortunately, disrupting the body’s wake-up mechanism isn’t necessarily a difficult thing to do. Just a few bad habits can cause this failure.

What wakes you up in the morning? Increased blood flow to the brain, which is triggered by the hormones ACTH and cortisol. ACTH and cortisol levels slowly rise as you sleep and spike upon waking up, after which their levels decline during the day. Without a healthy spike in these hormones, waking up will be difficult.
This wake-up mechanism is competing with your body’s desire to sleep as long as possible. If the wake-up mechanism fails to kick in properly, then you will oversleep by a few hours. This extra sleep is usually poor-quality light sleep (stage 1 and stage 2), so it provides little extra benefit.

So how do we control this wake-up mechanism? It’s rather simple.
First, ACTH and cortisol naturally want to spike when your body thinks it should wake up. ACTH and cortisol response are closely tied with your internal body-clock, which dictates your circadian rhythm. To stabilize your circadian rhythm, you need to keep wake-up times consistent. It doesn’t matter if you wake up at 5AM or 10AM, as long as it is consistent from day to day your body clock will stabilize into a 24-hour rhythm.

Once your body clock is stabilized, then ACTH and cortisol will consistently spike when they’re supposed to — during your body’s wake-up time. This hormone spike will give you a strong morning jolt of energy.
One problem with oversleepers is that they are inconsistent with their sleep schedule. In a sense, their body clocks can’t decide when to start the wake-up mechanism, so the hormone spike becomes either too broad or too weak, which leads to unnecessary oversleeping and trouble waking up in the morning.
What else can we do to optimize our body’s wake-up mechanism?

One study showed that by merely anticipating a wake-up time, our bodies will spike ACTH and cortisol higher than normal. Researchers took two groups of volunteers. Group 1 was told they would be woken up at 6AM. Group 2 was told they would be woken up at 9AM. The volunteers all went to sleep at midnight and their ACTH levels were monitored throughout the night. At 5AM, the ACTH levels of group 1 started to rise in anticipating of the 6AM alarm. Levels spiked at 6AM when they were woken up. What about group 2? To their surprise, the researchers woke them up at 6AM as well — and guess what, their ACTH levels remained low even after waking up.

What does this mean? It means that by anticipating our wake-up time we can give ourselves that hormonal jolt of energy to hop out of bed with ease. On the other hand, if we go to bed with the intention of eternal slumber, we will oversleep and miss out on that jolt of energy our body intended us to have.
This brings up a couple points. Have you ever noticed that during your high-on-life periods you needed less sleep than usual? This is partly because through daily ambition we train ourselves to be excited to jump out of bed each morning. That anticipation facilitates the hormonal wake-up mechanism we’ve been talking about.
Conversely, depression has the opposite effect. It’s no surprise that several studies have shown a link between depression and long sleep — when sleep is used to escape the world, there is no anticipation for waking up, thus no hormonal boost.
In summary, how do we avoid oversleeping?
      • Keep wake-up times consistent
      • Maintain a positive, energetic attitude and “anticipate” each wake-up as best as you can.
      ---

So after reading the article, it makes me think "what if I'll follow this habit everyday?"
One advantage I can think as of the moment is, this will be applicable if I'll be working later and can make myself a productive and cheerful person.
Remember when someone wakes you up and you lack a sleep? Tantrums. Don't want to happen that again

One thing also that I am very agreed to is the "body clock mechanism". It makes me think that this theory is really true. I've experienced this always especially when you have a day and you need to wake up early.

      So that's about it.

For now, I'll enjoy my summer vacation and when I almost accomplished my personal and academic goals it's time to move to the next phase of my life :)

        OJT Journal - Day 65 (April 21, 2010)

Wednesday, the very last day of my OJT!

3.17 hours is my only remaining time to reach my 400 hours of OJT work. So, I woke up early and arrived at Callbox around 8:23am. :)

After that, I went to Rowena and told her that I will end today. Then, she just nodded me. I returned to my workplace afterwards.

Around 11am, the 3 of us went to the HR Office. We entered the vicinity and talked to Ma'am Lhars that we will be paying our "Callbox T-shirt" we got the day before.

After lunch, I directly went home.

        Atlast! I'm finally done =))

        Tuesday, April 20, 2010

        OJT Journal - Day 64 (April 20, 2010)

Tuesday, the second-to-the-last day of my OJT! Yeap! Only 11 hours to go!

I woke up around 8am and arrived at Callbox around 9am. I signed-in on the logbook and went to the workplace for my log-in time to be checked by Rowena. Then, I went back to Ma'am Lhars for my encoding works to be done.

Finally for our accomplishment, we were able to take a picture with Ma'am Medalin and Ma'am Emy, also for Ma'am Lhars at the HR Office.

We ended our day purchasing a Callbox shirt cost 180 pesos and to be paid the next day!

        OJT Journal - Day 63 (April 19, 2010)

        Monday, ugh the same sickness.

Still the same task for the day.
We wore our OJT uniform for our picture taking with our co-OJT and with Ma'am Emy and Ma'am Medalin.

Alas! Ma'am Emy was absent for the day,so we have no choice, but to cancel it to continue the next day.

        Leaked 3DS!

        Some leaked photos of 3DS:

        For moar pics: Source

Comment: LOOOOOL.
It's kind of "unlikey". The design is PSP-ish. XD

        An Eccentric Day

LOL.

Ano kasi, he was referring to a jeepney siguro tapos yun ang tunog para makapunta sa lugar niya.

        OJT Journal - Day 62 (April 16, 2010)

        Friday, an eccentric day.

I woke up around 7:40am. Then, I hurriedly eat my breakfast, drink my usual milo-coffee combo and jump to Callbox. I entered the lobby and jotted down my log-in time, which is 8:38am! Same as the time I arrive the day before LOL. I also noticed Jessica's log-in time, which is 8:32am and haven't seen Jeniel's time.

Then, I proceed to our workplace and started working. Around 10am, Ma'am Emy told me that I was called by the Human Resource Head, Ma'am Lhars, to encode something for her.

While at the vicinity, she saw me coming and escorted me to her computer table. Then, she instructed me to do some encoding things (encoding a resume to their database). The place is also cool not because of the air-conditioner, but it was rather a suitable place to work. Time also flies fast there.

At first, I was shy because almost all of the people passing by were looking at me! Ma'am Medalin also noticed me and she asked: "Waw, sosyalan, dito ka na pala ngayon sa HR?" I just smiled to her as she walked outside the room.

Lunch Break. Jeniel and Jessica were curious of what I did inside the HR's Office. I answer them simple "I'm just encoding an applicants' resume!".

Come to think of it, my first task were just copy-paste then it was upgraded to encoding! Nice one Ray! LOL

Around 5pm, I saw Jeniel stepped out the door of the research room following by Jessica. Then, I ask Ma'am Lhars that I will log-out at 5pm, she nodded at me saying yes.
Being reunited again, we went home separately.

        Ask me anything http://formspring.me/Rayster25

        Hehehe!

Starting now, may new catergory na ako  na "Funny Stuffs".

        Here I go:

Hindi naman sa pang iinsulto and no offense but I find it funny talaga kanina XD

Pagkaright click mo nyan sa blank area eh lalabas ang "Properties" and after clicking it, yan na lalabas.

I just find it amusing lang talaga. hehe

Parang nasilent arrow kami kanina biglang tumahimik =))

Kaya one lesson I learned today.

        OJT Journal - Day 61 (April 15, 2010)

        Thursday, a very funny day.

Like I said that I will be early this time, guess that I am late again for 38 minutes.

It is also summer so you can't blame a poor boy like me to enjoy a vacation!

As I enter the workplace, I directly dashed to my table and swiftly opened my computer to start working.
After 10 minutes, Ma'am Emy stand up and talked to me. She teased me that she has a punishment for me because I was late. Seeing a small opening of her mouth as a grin, I can sense that she has a little favor for me instead of punishment. As you can remember last January I think, she ask me a favor to fetch the food they ordered from JD Bakeshop! That's right! It's still the same thing she asked me this time. Whether I'm late or not I guess she is waiting for me to arrived to ask a favor.

On the side note: I arrived around 8:38am while Jeniel arrived around 8:32am making us late :))
Jessica was early, she arrived around 8:07am.

After 15 minutes, Mam'm Emy give me the list of the foods that were ordered and the name of the people who ordered. I asked Jeniel to escort me to JD Bakeshop to fetch the ordered food. When we went back to Callbox, I put the ordered food on the canteen table and hurriedly went back to Ma'am  Emy for her change.

After those requests, we went back to our workplace and seriously hastening our work.

Around 3pm, Jeniel and I went to the finance office to get our allowance for being a Technical Support for 2 days. I only got 145 pesos because of being late (again) and a 1 day duty. Unlike Jeniel, he got 295 pesos for attending a 2 days duty.

After our work at 5pm, we went to the school for our permit signature and then went to Jollibee :)

Along the way, we encountered Sir Ryan, our school technician. We persuaded him to follow us to Jollibee to eat.

Jeniel and I ordered an Ice Craze (Ube Flavor) and gave it to Sir Ryan and Jessica. Afterwards, we went home separately.

LOOOL! Sana manalo ako nito XD

        OJT Journal - Day 60 (April 14, 2010)

        Wednesday, a sleepy day.

        Being a hard-headed, I slept late.

I arrived at Callbox around 11:00 (yeah I know, I'm super lazy)

Jeniel and Jessica were earlier than me, so I promised to myself that I will be early the next day =))
Then, we talked about our business plan because we need to finalize it for this week. We will also end our OJT next week.

        OJT Journal - Day 59 (April 13, 2010)

        Finally I'm back! hahaha
        It was Tuesday.

I arrived at Callbox around 10am and saw Ma'am Emy.
She stared me with a puzzled face (bakit ngayon lang kayo nagduty ulit?) I smiled at her. Then, she asked me where is Jeniel? I answered her directly saying that I have no idea. After that, I sat to my workplace and saw Jessica on in the other table. We exchanged smiling face across the room.

Lunch break, Jessica told me everything about the new rules of Callbox.
Since it is summer, they are accepting Summer OJT. Our break time in the morning is 11:00 - 11:15. Our lunch break is 1:00pm!
Can you imagine that? 1pm! phew

Then, in the afternoon, our break time is still the same: 3:00-3:15pm
Jeniel was not around for the day.
