At last! I was able to post here using the very strict Internet Connection. T_T

Almost all common sites are forbidden. e.g. Yahoo Mail, Yahoo Messenger, Forums, Social networks..

but oh well.. That's life.

Good thing blogger is not prohibited.

Laptop

At last! For almost 4 years of being a Computer Science Student, everyone dreamed of owning a portable entertainment just for themselves! Just wait and see.. XD

Actually, it is a graduation gift from my Tita who works at Canada as an OFW. It was discussed in the past that if I can get an honor when I graduate, she will grant me my wish and that is, to have a Laptop!

Around the mid 20's of January 2010, she arrived with her new husband! We were surprised because I thought she was still single. The lucky man is a Filipino and I still haven't met him personally due to my duties. I'm not against any of her affairs. As long as she can keep up with her promise, that is fine with me.

For my lappy, my expected date is this coming Saturday. But sadly, my Tita is still healing from her sickness. (One reason why she went home)

That's why my laptop can wait a little longer.

I'll upload the whole list later. For now, MSI got my eyes for its awesome specs and not so expensive. Not to mention, it is one of the underrated Laptop brands xD

OJT Journal - Day 25 (January 27, 2010)

Wednesday. A lazy day.

I woke up around 7am but I slept again. Woke up again at 9am and force myself to work for the day. I arrived at Callbox around 10:30am O_O

Jessica wondered why is that I'm soooo late? I just simply answered, I am lazy today. :|

She just smiled at me and continued her work. It was lunch time that Jeniel arrived.
We ate our lunch together around 12:30pm.

Nothing unusual for the day except for me. I was soooo sleepy and I can't take it anymore! I finished and compiled my work around 3pm and hurriedly went home.

At my room, I change my clothes and put my things aside and went to sleep. zZZzZ

OJT Journal - Day 24 (January 26, 2010)

At last! Our hibernation ended and now back to business! :D

Tuesday.

I woke up around 10:00am and my class starts at 10:30. So I rushed everything from eating my breakfast up to taking a bath.

I arrived at school around 10:35am. I was late. My teacher and classmates were discussing everything about the experience they got from the Dinagyang festival.

Just to make a things clear, majority of my classmates were HRTM(Hotel and Restaurant Tourism Management). That's why they choose to make a Kiosk and do an entrepreneurial activity by selling goods to the customers.

As a ComSci student, it was a fulfilling experience to sell goods to the people you don't even know unlike on the Internet, its a different story.

Here is one of our goods that we used to sell.



Cute right? It's only 300 pesos. xD

Back to our OJT in Callbox.

Nothing major about that day. We just continued our work and compiled everything for our daily quota.

Hoping for our allowance by the end of the month *cross fingers*

January 21,22, at 25 absent kami for our OJT sa Callbox. Reason is, naghelp kami sa Kiosk namin for the upcoming Dinagyang Festival. So hindi pa rin kami makapahinga ng maayos nito.

Enjoying naman kasi first time namin nagkaroon ng ganitong activity. So it was a worth experience! ^_^

Sa February 5, 2010 pa malalaman ang result ng Winners. Sana kami manalo.. :D

OJT Journal - Day 23 (January 20, 2010)

Wednesday, our last OJT for the week.

My classmates already planned that starting Thursday, we will be excused from our work because of our school activities. It was not an ordinary activity but it was an "Entrepreneurial Business" from our section.

Our task was to make a Kiosk made out of anything decorative and to sell goods to our customers. xD

Almost 4 consecutive days of hard work....

OJT Journal - Day 22 (January 19, 2010)

A half-day OJT again. 4 hours is the only time that we can get every Tuesday and Thursday. No wonder it was always a boring day.

Nothing major happenings. All I can recall is that, Showtime's suspension was lifted by MTRCB. So starting that day, Showtime is back. xD

OJT Journal - Day 21 (January 18, 2010)

Monday came and I was early for the day ^_^

I came to Callbox around 8:05am. I was happy because I woke up early.

Nothing new about the day. We just continued the tasks that was given to us by Rowena.

OJT Journal - Day 20 (January 15, 2010)

Friday. Everyone was late.

Jessica arrived around 8:30am, Jeniel arrived at 9:15am, and I arrived around 10am. XD
That makes it a 6 hours duty for the day for me.

We got our new task from Rowena so we swiftly type it down little by little. I counted mine, it ranges around 3,500 to 4,000 O_O. Jessica and Jeniel's were also the same.

We just did what we were told and ended the day with a big yawn.

OJT Journal - Day 19 (January 14, 2010)

I was absent the day before, January 13, 2010.

Thursday came.

It was the day for my other classmates to take the special examination. Our teacher announced what will be our "Entrepreneurial Activity" for the upcoming Dinagyang Festival and our Business Plans. After the class, we headed to Callbox.

I forgot to mentioned about our daily quota. Ma'am Emy, our mentor, said that starting next week we will have our own daily production report. Meaning we have to type down our production for that day. If we can exceed 300 (whole day) or 150 (half day), we can received our incentives (allowance).

That makes up our day.

OJT Journal - Day 18 (January 12, 2010)

Tuesday, a half day OJT because we have classes every morning.

What I remembered about this day is that, Showtime, a local tv show, got suspended due to an offensive remarks by one of the show's judge. I did include this because while at the canteen, Jessica was wondering what happened to the show. Jeniel interfered because he have an idea about the news. We abruptly told her every single detail about the said show.

1pm, it was the time for us to start our daily tasks.

OJT Journal - Day 17 (January 11, 2010)

Monday again..

My day started when I woke up in the morning feeling late.

I arrived at Callbox around 8:15am. While browsing at the logbook, I noticed Jeniel and Jessica's name printed before mine. They arrived around 8am. It was the first day they started their morning duties so that they can cope up with our 400 hours of OJT.

Nothing else happened that day, so we continued our work until 5pm.

OJT Journal - Day 16 (January 8, 2010)

It was Friday, the last day of that week. A very boring day if you ask me.

Nothing new, same old routines, same old boring stuffs since day 1.

Everything went well up to the time we went home.

OJT Journal - Day 15 (January 7, 2010)

I skipped yesterday's duty due to my health concerns.. So I took a long rest yesterday and promised that I will make up for it in the upcoming days

I was not late this time because I was on time for class! After the class, we went to Callbox for our lunch.

After we entered the lobby, I told Jessica and Jeniel to wait for me because I will get my allowance this time xD At first I was a little nervous because I'm not familiar with the place. I was in the finance office with so many people walking around. I did get my allowance after a little conversation with Sir Frances. I got 555 and 30 cents :D

As I promised Jessica and Jeniel, we will go to the Jollibee after our work. Also, I didn’t forget the promise I made to my sister that I will buy her favorite Aloha hamburger.

Still the same routine for our work I guess. The new thing is, we will have a meeting tomorrow. So this time, I must not be late (considering it's a whole day ojt).

After our work, my classmate teased me about going to Jollibee. I wasn't really joking back then so we went there directly. Alas! Jessica said that I must use her J-coupons in order for me to have a discount! Isn't that neat?

We finished our snacks together and walked towards the opposite direction as they said thanks to me.

That made me happy for the whole day even though I'm a little tired.

OJT Journal - Day 14 (January 5, 2010)

January 5, 2010, a half-day OJT for us.

I was running late for my class because I overslept again. After I entered our room, it was filled with air. Only my teacher was present on the table. She told me that she gave us a library work that would be submitted after class.

I swiftly dashed to the library and began my research. Everything ended well when we finished our work altogether and headed directly to Callbox.

It was still the same nostalgia since last month. We ate our lunch together and finished our work together.

Before we headed out for the break, Jeniel told me that he will buy a Globe Tattoo for his laptop. It was a funny day for us because he had no choice but to buy the pink-colored one (due to stocks issues). XD

We got separated by our different destination back home.

OJT Journal - Day 13 (January 4, 2010)

Goodbye 2009, hello 2010!

It was Monday, January 4, 2010. The very first busy day of the year. Classes and works were resumed.

The day before, I received a lot of pc-works, I got jammed for the rest of the day.. Before sleeping around 2am, I thought that I would never wake up due to my fatigues.

8am, I heard my mother yell. I woke up with a dizzy feeling, so I yelled back and went to sleep again.

I fainted for about 3 hours and woke up again around 11am. This time, I think I feel better. Soon, I started my morning habits and decided to take my OJT this afternoon. That only gives me 4 hours of duty this day. Nevertheless, that's just fine and my mother can understand what I've been through the day before.

I arrived at Callbox.

Familiar faces greeted me as I entered. It was Jessica who's present in the computer table along with Rowena whom I spotted talking. I approached them saying that I'm here. I eventually proceeded to my own table and started working.

It was until then when I noticed a notepad in my folder saying "pls read". I hurriedly opened it and got nervous while reading it. I thought it was about our work for not being good, also from the rumors.
It was just a little message saying, "kunin mo ung allowance mo sa finance office kay sir frances". I was like "hay salamat", after I read it all.

I decided to go to the finance office around 5pm during our log-out.

Earlier, when I arrived, Jessica was the only classmate of mine that was present. So, I wondered what happened to Jeniel this time?. We noticed that he arrived around 2pm, running late as usual. The thing is, he told me that he already got his laptop from his tita last month. I was a little jealous at first, nonetheless, it makes me happy. After all, he now owns a computer XD

The brand was Dell. I told him that mine's gonna be after my graduation, my tito will give it to me as a graduation gift. So, I'll need a little more patience :)

Around 5pm, I can see why Jeniel wanted to go home already. We haven't talked that much for the day, but I'm sure we will be having it tomorrow.

OJT Journal - Day 12 (December 17, 2009)

Thursday, the last day of our OJT this year..

This was the first Thursday that it's gonna be a whole day OJT. Due to our examination week, we don't have classes other than our exams which is the day earlier, Wednesday.

It was a cold start when I woke up in the morning. It was around 7:30am and I got a feeling that I'm gonna be late. I hastened up my movements so that I won't be late. Sadly, I got sidetracked by the jeepney. It was a foolish mistake that I took a ride on a jeepney that was operated by an old geezer. Having a long face while heading to Callbox, I saw Ma'am Jen, our so-naughty petite computer teacher. What I did was, I raced with her as she saw me. I told her that I was a little late. We got separated by a fork and she went directly to our school while I took the other way to Callbox.

When I arrived, I signed-in on the logbook and went upstairs. When I entered the place, I saw both of them(Jessica and Jeniel). Having a serious face I started my work eagerly.

It was still the same work since day 1.

Around 5pm, it was the sign of goodbye and see you soon thingy. We hurriedly went home as the traffic lights began to light up. XD

OJT Journal - Day 11 (December 15, 2009)

Jeniel's still absent for the past 2 days. I guess, he is still sick ><

Another half-day OJT and it was Jessica who's by my side.

We greeted the guard when we entered Callbox. We rushed to the canteen to have our lunch meal. While eating, we talked about Jeniel's condition and about our allowance XD

We went directly to our working place and started our work. Around 3pm, Rowena called me. She said that I will be getting an allowance because I'm capable of doing things much faster than Jeniel and Jessica. She also told me not to tell anyone about this little secret. XD

Jessica overheard it a little, she ask me what it's all about. I told her that I'm gonna explain things later. So after our work, I told her everything outside the comfort room. I know she feels a little sad about it because it's an allowance we're talking about! Knowing that they need the money than I do.. >.>

What I did is comfort her and told her that what's important is we can finish our 400 hours of work and to graduate. We smiled at each other as we got separated.

OJT Journal - Day 10 (December 14, 2009)

I'm so relieved about this week! not because it's Monday again but it's the last week of our OJT this year! Our Prelim Examination starts this week and our scheduled exam will be on Wednesday, December 16, 2009. So no OJT for that day.

Anyway, I guess this time, I was a little late for my work. xD

Before I arrived at the working place, I noticed that there were few people walking around and I can sense a thin atmosphere.

When I entered the crystal door, I saw two OJT Trainees facing the computer. It was Rowena, our OJT Supervisor and Meriam, her fellow Trainee. I sat on my working place and started working. When Ma'am Medalin arrived, she noticed that only 3 of us were present. So, she asked me to transfer to the computer table near Rowena. While at Rowena's side, I took a glimpse at her works. All I can say is, my work is much better. :>

Jessica arrived during lunch time and she persuaded me to eat so that we can start our work swiftly. After our lunch, we entered the working place and noticed Meriam nodded to Rowena and walked away. So, it was again the 3 of us.

For the first time, such incidents happened. The connection was cut-off during our research, so as the network connection. Both of them panic that they couldn't save their work. Finding an empty computer won't solve the problem, after all the connection comes from the Server, so all the computers in the working place were just clients. The connection came back when it was about 5 pm.

I persuaded Jessica that it's our time and we need to log-out for the day. I gave her a wave and we got separated by the road as we went home.

2010!

Happy New Year Guys!

2009 ends, welcome 2010!

Let's start the year with a bang of good habits xD. Kasi sabi nga nila, kung ano daw ginawa mo today, yun din daw gagawin mo for the rest of the year. So magstart na kayo..

Earlier, nagsimba kami 8am. And sabi ko nga, konti lang tao sa simbahan.. Yung nakapatawa samin is may natutulog sa upuan sa front namin.. xD

Well, sino ba makablame nun eh yung Priest kasi, kahit noong Pasko, ang tagal talaga mag misa.. Pero kahit papano nakasimba kami kanina. It was a good start of the year ika-nga.

Sa Monday nga OJT naman.. Balik na sa dating gawi.. So I'll update my OJT-Journal siguro mga bukas =))
